Hire a remote data analyst who answers the questions behind your numbers

We recruit English-speaking data analysts from Mexico and Latin America who clean your data, build reports and explain what the numbers mean, in real time with your U.S. team.

Also hired as: Remote Data Analyst · Business Data Analyst · Reporting Analyst · Marketing Data Analyst · Operations Analyst

What a nearshore Data Analyst does for you

A data analyst takes the data your business already collects and turns it into answers people can act on. They pull data with SQL, clean up messy spreadsheets, build recurring reports, dig into why a metric moved, and present findings in a way a sales leader or operations manager can use without a statistics degree.

E-commerce brands hire analysts to understand sales, margins and customer behavior. Marketing teams need them to measure campaigns and attribution. Operations, logistics and finance teams use them to track productivity, costs and forecasts. Many growing companies hire their first analyst when leaders are spending hours each week wrestling with exports instead of making decisions.

Analysis is iterative. A manager asks why revenue dipped last week, the analyst finds a first answer, and that leads to a sharper follow-up question. When your analyst works your hours, that loop happens in an afternoon. When they're a day away, each round of questions costs another day, and the moment for a decision often passes.

Tell us where your data lives (a CRM, an e-commerce platform, a warehouse, or mostly spreadsheets), which tools your team uses for reporting, and the questions you most need answered. We screen for strong SQL and Excel skills and, just as important, for the ability to explain results clearly in English.

  • Strong SQL for querying and joining data

  • Data cleaning and data quality checks
  • Basic statistics for trends, cohorts and experiments
  • Python or R for analysis (a plus)
  • Turning a vague business question into a clear analysis plan

Hiring a remote Data Analyst: questions

What's the difference between a data analyst and a business intelligence analyst?

A data analyst focuses on answering questions and running analyses, often ad hoc. A BI analyst focuses more on building and maintaining dashboards, data models and reporting systems the whole company uses. Many people do some of both.

Can a remote data analyst work with our data securely?

Yes. You grant access through your own accounts and permissions, and you can limit them to the data they need. Tell us about any data-handling requirements so we can screen for relevant experience.

Do they need to know Python?

Not always. Many business analyses run on SQL, Excel and a BI tool. If your work involves larger data sets, automation or statistical modeling, we'll screen for Python or R.

Can they work mostly in spreadsheets if we don't have a data warehouse?

Yes. Many analysts start with exports and spreadsheets, and a good one can help you decide when it's time to move to a warehouse and a BI tool.

Will they build dashboards for us?

Yes. Building and maintaining dashboards in tools like Power BI, Tableau or Looker Studio is a common part of the role. We'll look for experience with the tool you use.

How long does it take to hire a data analyst?

It depends on the tools and industry experience you need. We'll give you a realistic timeline on the strategy call.
