Software & engineering
Hire a software engineer who codes on your clock
We recruit experienced, English-speaking software engineers from Mexico, Brazil and across Latin America who join your team full time and work U.S. business hours.
Also hired as: Software Developer · Remote Software Engineer · Nearshore Software Engineer · Senior Software Engineer · Application Developer · Programmer
What a nearshore Software Engineer does for you
A software engineer designs, writes, tests and maintains the code behind your product. Beyond writing features, a good engineer reads requirements critically, chooses sensible designs, reviews teammates' code, writes tests that catch regressions, and helps keep the system healthy as it grows.
Startups hire software engineers to extend a small core team without stretching runway. Established SaaS companies add them to clear roadmaps faster. Non-software businesses, from logistics firms to healthcare and fintech companies, hire them to build internal tools, integrations and customer-facing apps their off-the-shelf software can't handle.
Engineering is collaborative work. Pull requests need reviews, a production bug needs someone who can jump on a call, and design decisions get made in quick back-and-forth. Offshore teams many hours away often turn a one-hour question into a one-day delay. A nearshore engineer shares most of your working day, so code review, pairing and incident response happen in real time.
When you talk to us, share your languages and frameworks, your cloud provider, the seniority you need and how your team works (sprints, code review norms, on-call). We screen for hands-on experience in that stack, communication in English, and the ability to work independently inside a distributed team.

Hiring a remote Software Engineer: questions
Can a nearshore software engineer work inside our existing team?
Yes. They join your Slack, your stand-ups and your code review process like any other engineer. Because they work U.S. hours, they collaborate with your team in real time rather than handing off work overnight.
How do you test technical skills?
We screen for real experience in your stack and can include a technical assessment or coding exercise. You also interview the shortlist yourself, so your engineers can run their own technical interview before you decide.
What seniority levels can you recruit?
We recruit from mid-level engineers to senior and lead engineers. Tell us the scope of the role and who they'll report to, and we'll target the right level.
Who owns the code they write?
Your company does. Intellectual property and confidentiality terms are set up as part of the placement; we'll walk you through how that works on the strategy call.
Do I need a software engineer or a full-stack developer?
The titles overlap. "Software engineer" is broader and often includes back-end systems, infrastructure or non-web software, while a full-stack developer focuses on web applications end to end. We'll match the profile to the work.
How long does it take to hire?
Timelines depend on the stack and seniority. We'll give you a realistic estimate on the strategy call before we start searching.
