Hire a remote e-commerce manager who owns your online sales channel

We recruit English-speaking e-commerce managers from Mexico and Latin America who run your store, marketplaces and campaigns day to day, on your schedule.

Also hired as: Remote E-commerce Manager · Online Store Manager · Digital Commerce Manager · E-commerce Operations Manager · Ecommerce Director

What a nearshore E-commerce Manager does for you

An e-commerce manager is the person who answers for the online store as a business. They watch conversion and average order value, plan the promotional calendar, keep the catalog accurate, coordinate with marketing on traffic, and work with fulfillment so orders actually ship when the site says they will. When something breaks at checkout, they're the one who notices first.

Direct-to-consumer brands, wholesalers moving online, retailers with a Shopify or BigCommerce store alongside Amazon, and manufacturers selling through their own site all hire for this role. Some need a hands-on operator who builds collections and uploads products; others need someone who manages a small team of listing, support and ad specialists.

Online selling moves in real time. A flash sale goes live at 9 a.m. Eastern, a payment app fails on a Saturday, a warehouse flags an inventory gap mid-afternoon. A nearshore e-commerce manager works the same hours as your marketing team, your 3PL and your agency, so problems get fixed while customers are still shopping rather than the next morning.

When you talk to us, tell us which platforms you sell on, your rough catalog size and whether this person will manage others. We'll screen for direct experience on those platforms and ask candidates to walk through how they read a sales report and decide what to change.

Hiring a remote E-commerce Manager: questions

What does an e-commerce manager do day to day?

They check overnight sales and site health, adjust promotions and merchandising, review ad and email performance with marketing, and follow up on inventory or fulfillment issues. Most of the week is spent turning store data into specific changes.

Can a remote e-commerce manager work in our Shopify admin and Amazon account?

Yes. You add them as a staff user or user with the permissions you choose, the same way you would for any employee. They work inside your accounts, not theirs.

What's the difference between an e-commerce manager and an e-commerce specialist?

A specialist usually handles one area, such as listings, Amazon or the Shopify theme. A manager owns the overall channel results, sets priorities and often directs specialists or agencies.

Can they manage our marketing agency and freelancers?

Many candidates have coordinated agencies and contractors before. Tell us if this person will manage outside partners and we'll screen for that experience specifically.

Do they need to know our industry?

It helps, but strong store operators adapt across categories. If you sell something with special rules, such as supplements, apparel sizing or B2B pricing, mention it and we'll prioritize candidates who have handled it.

How long does it take to hire an e-commerce manager?

It depends on the platforms and seniority you need. We'll give you a realistic timeline on the strategy call before the search starts.
