What a nearshore Virtual Assistant does for you

A virtual assistant handles the recurring tasks that eat into a business owner's or manager's week: sorting email, booking meetings, updating spreadsheets and CRMs, following up with vendors and keeping files where people can find them. The best ones learn how you like things done and start handling them before you ask.

Small businesses, founders, real estate teams, agencies, coaches and professional services firms hire virtual assistants most often. The role is broad on purpose, so on the strategy call we'll pin down what yours will actually own, whether that's customer emails, travel, bookkeeping support, social media scheduling or a mix.

Time zone matters here because so much of the work is reactive. A request that comes in at 2 p.m. should be handled by 3 p.m., not the next morning. A nearshore assistant is working while you are, can jump on a quick call to clarify a task, and can answer your customers and vendors during the same business hours they expect.

Tell us which tools you already use and how much writing the job involves. If your assistant will email customers in your name, we'll weight written English and tone more heavily in screening; if the job is mostly data and scheduling, we'll focus on accuracy and software skills.

Hiring a remote Virtual Assistant: questions

What's the difference between a virtual assistant and a freelancer?

Our virtual assistants are full-time and work only for your company, during your business hours. A freelancer typically juggles several clients and fits your tasks around them.

Can a virtual assistant handle personal tasks as well as business ones?

Many owners have their assistant help with both, such as personal travel or appointments alongside business admin. Tell us the mix up front so we can find someone comfortable with it.

How do I share passwords and accounts safely?

Use a password manager with shared vaults rather than sending passwords by email. That lets you grant and revoke access as needed and keeps a record of who can see what.

Can they answer phone calls for us?

Yes, if phone work is part of the role we'll screen for spoken English and phone manner. If answering calls is the main job, a virtual receptionist may be a better fit.

What tasks should I hand off first?

Start with recurring, well-defined work such as inbox triage, scheduling and data updates. Once your assistant knows your preferences, add tasks that need more judgment.

How quickly can I get a virtual assistant?

It depends on the skills and schedule you need. We'll give you a realistic timeline on the strategy call before the search starts.
